About us

  • 1974

    In the early 1970s, the decision was made to build a hotel, giving birth to Hotel República. Over the years, and thanks to solid management, the hotel continued to grow and evolve, becoming one of the most prestigious and comfortable hotels in our city.

  • 1994

    In the early 1990s, in line with new trends in the hospitality industry, OHS decided to expand Hotel República and inaugurated Open Spa, a modern and distinguished space designed for the well-being and relaxation of our guests. Here, visitors can enjoy a wide range of services, including steam baths, hydrotherapy, jacuzzi, an indoor heated swimming pool, relaxation areas, facial and body treatment rooms, as well as a fully equipped gym with personal trainers.

  • 2011

    In 2011, Hotel Spa República received recognition for its performance, dedication, and quality of service, earning the “four-star superior” category, granted by the Province of Buenos Aires based on its infrastructure.

  • 2014

    In February 2014, OHS took over the management of the first property in our chain: the historic Dorá Hotel Buenos Aires, originally established in 1955. This hotel has since been modernized and upgraded to meet the same quality standards as all our other properties.

  • 2021

    In November 2021, OHS added a fourth property to its portfolio: SEC Hotel Mar del Plata, a superior-category hotel with a prime location in the city.

  • 2024

    In November 2024, we incorporated a new property into our chain: Cerro Calafate Hotel, located in the town of El Calafate, Santa Cruz Province. With an excellent location just 2 km from Cerro Calafate, it is ideal for enjoying the charm of Patagonia.

  • 2025

    In January 2025, Tierra y Mar Villas Turísticas was inaugurated—an exclusive villa complex located in Camet Norte, within the Tipantú neighborhood, just 15 minutes from Mar del Plata. It offers a unique experience that combines the perfect balance between nature and comfort.
